About the Event

For some  family caregivers, the holidays can be a joyful time when spirits are lighter.  It feels good to care for loved ones and enjoy time together, celebrating with family traditions. We often visit older relatives, using that time to check on how they are doing.

For many in the throes of intensive caregiving, however, the holidays may bring added stress and contribute to burnout. Caregivers are already busy, there’s more than ever to do, and it feels like something’s gotta give! It’s OK to give yourself a bit of a break this year. AARP caregiving expert Amy Goyer will offer tips to help caregivers make it through the holiday season with more joy and less stress.
