Neil Diamond is an American singer-songwriter known for his deep, resonant voice and timeless pop-rock hits. Born on January 24, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, Diamond began his music career in the 1960s as a songwriter in the Brill Building before launching a successful solo career. His breakthrough came with hits like "Solitary Man" and "Cherry, Cherry."
Over the decades, he released numerous chart-topping singles, including iconic tracks such as "Sweet Caroline," "Cracklin’ Rosie," and "I Am... I Said." Known for his emotive performances and powerful lyrics, he also starred in the 1980 film The Jazz Singer, contributing songs like "Love on the Rocks" and "America."
Neil Diamond has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling musicians of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2018, he retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, though he continues to be celebrated as a music legend.
