Advances in Treating Alzheimer’s Disease: Moving Toward a Breakthrough

Dr. Allison Reiss, an internal medicine physician, educator and molecular biologist, will discuss current available Alzheimer’s disease therapies, lifestyle modifications that can preserve cognition, and new tools and approaches that are giving us a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the development of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Reiss is an internal medicine physician, educator and molecular biologist who studies the immune and inflammatory mechanisms that promote the development of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment. Her research is directed toward finding effective therapies to slow and stop the progression of these disease states.
