Nonprofit Virtual Fair!

A Gift of Time invites your organization to participate in a virtual nonprofit fair. During the pandemic, we want to provide adults with memory loss and their caregivers an opportunity to learn about the resources available to them. November is a special month for A Gift of Time as we honor our caregivers and adults living with memory loss. November is also Alzheimer’s Awareness month and Caregiver month.

How to register your nonprofit: Send an email to: education@agiftoftimegeorgetown.org Include the non-profit name and contact person. A registration form will be sent to you to fill out and return to A Gift of Time. Last day to sign up is September 4th by 5:00 pm.

Additional information: All organizations are required to present their information in English and Spanish. If you need a translator A Gift of Time can provide one. However, we do ask that you donate a minimum of $10.00 to A Gift of Time to cover the cost of the translator’s time. Only those that have registered for the event can present. The program starts at 9:30 am and ends at 11:30 am. Times may change depending how many nonprofits sign up. Each organization will have a designated time to speak to guests of the organization services. A schedule of presenters will be sent on October 5th. A Gift of Time will post the organization’s link on our website during the month of November. We will also include your information in our November newsletter. All organizations are asked to donate a gift card of any amount to be used as prizes for our guests only. This event is meant to be interactive so be creative in presenting your organization! We plan to play games, share stories, and give away door prizes! A Gift of Time will be hosting a variety of programs during the month of November. A Gift of Time's Team: 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Williamson County

A Message from Josie Zamora, Executive Director:

I'm excited to be participating in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's®! I'm participating because I am committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. I'm leading the way to Alzheimer’s first survivor!

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the beginning of A Gift of Time’s efforts to bring more of an awareness of the lives being affected by this disease. Alzheimer’s and other related dementias not only have a profound emotional effect on those living with the disease and their families but also affect the stability of families. Our city is not exempt from the financial, spiritual, and physical consequences of living with the disease or being a caregiver. Therefore, I plan to walk from the Eastside of Georgetown crossing over I-35 to the Westside of Georgetown to bring an emphasis that our entire city is being affected by dementia.

I have reached my goal! But you can still help by donating to A Gift of Time!

Thank you!

Josie Zamora, Team Captain
A Gift of Time Executive Director & Founder
