A Gift of Time Announces 2021 Board Officers
Georgetown nonprofit A Gift of Time is pleased to announce the acceptance of the 2021 slate of officers during their annual meeting held on Thursday, January 14. The new officers for 2021 include Rick Vasquez, President; Rose Saenz, Vice-President; and Dr. Lisa Sullivan, Secretary. During the meeting, they also recognized and thanked the outgoing members of the Board for their service. Departing members include Vic Figurelli, Dr. Char Hu, Carol Glasco and Vern Gonion.
During his outgoing President's remarks, Vic Figurelli highlighted the organization's work over the past 2 years and expressed gratitude for the work and commitment of the outgoing members. "Board engagement is essential to the success of A Gift of Time. The Board represents the owners - which in the nonprofit world is the community - those being served and those who provide the resources. Our outgoing Board members have supported us through the challenging transition from a start-up board to a governing Board, and this transition continues to accelerate as we get closer to opening a facility in Georgetown. We have been able to make great strides related to building our brand, and I want to sincerely thank each of you for playing an important role in that progress.
The Board also approved the slate of new officers for 2021: Rick Vasquez, President; Rose Saenz, Vice-President; and Dr. Lisa Sullivan, Secretary. One new member, John Stock, was welcomed to the Board for a two-year term.
Josie Zamora, Founder and Executive Director of A Gift of Time, shares these thoughts: I welcome our new Board leaders and look forward to working with them as we enter the next phase of A Gift of Time.
The mission of A Gift of Time, one of the newest additions to Georgetown’s nonprofit landscape, is to make a positive impact on the lives of those with mild to moderate memory loss, their caregivers, and the community at large.
